Zumba® - Latin Dance Fitness Class

The Zumba®  program fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba®  fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie burning, body energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate you for life.

Power Flow & Meditation

Class begins with an introduction to Vipassana Meditation followed by a powerful flow class that incorporates both Hatha and Ashtanga poses.
This class will focus on alignment, stamina, balance and core strength. The class will work every major muscle group as well as raising the internal body temperature creating heat and cardiovascular endurance allowing increased flexibility and strength.

Power Flow Class is ideal for experienced yogis as well as athletes that are involved in cross training for marathons, or extreme sports.

Restorative Yoga

Rest and restore body & mind - this nourishing practice enables you to open and gently stretch your body and to calm the mind.

Each class will begin with gentle yoga poses/flow to lengthen tight and constricted parts of the body. The latter part of the class will be dedicated to spending time in restorative poses using props, to deepen rest and relaxation. Finally, the class will finish off with an option for relaxing aromatherapy.

Restorative yoga helps with fatigue, stress and tightness. It is a wonderful compliment to any active practice.

What to wear: Light, comfortable clothing. Layers are recommended as your body may build heat during the first part of the practice, and cool down during the last half of the practice.

Who can practice: Suitable for all levels, including absolute beginners and expecting mothers (please advise instructor prior to class if you are pregnant)

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Yoga classes are focused on combining the breath pattern to the physical body movement, deep asana holds and balancing postures to delve deeper into our internal body and awareness.  You will gain flexibility, build core strength and tone the entire body while finding a sense of calm that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and energized.

Yogaflow

This class is based on vinyasa yoga and hatha. There will be a dynamic flow of postures for the first half of the class where our breath is linked to the movement, between postures. This will allow your body to warm up and heart rate to increase. During the last half of the class, the poses will be held for a few breaths  so you can focus on strengthening and stretching the body.

Morning Sun Salutation

Greet the day with a series of flowing movements designed to give your body the stretch it needs in the morning and the muscle toning it needs to feel strong throughout the day. Each class will end with a calming guided meditation.

Hot Yoga

This class will help develop your core muscles which will in turn offer more stability in your yoga poses. As you grow stronger, you'll be able to transition from posture to posture with more fluidity and settle more deeply into your pose. (heated 90 degree class)

 Pre-Natal Yoga & Labour Preparation

Our pre-natal yoga classes are designed to prepare your mind and body for the changes and challenges of pregnancy and labour. You will be guided through safe yoga postures that will help you stay strong and in shape throughout your pregnancy and will aid you during your labour. Breathing and visualization techniques will help release tension and reduce anxiety. All of these tools will allow you to meet the ever changing challenges and transformations of your body during pregnancy. All trimesters and levels welcome.
